Minimum qualifications are often based on assumptions rather than actual job requirements. For example, requiring a degree that is typically associated with a job when there is no actual link between possessing the degree and the ability to perform the job.

In this session, we will explore methods to ensure that our minimum qualifications are valid and defensible, and we will examine the assumptions that can lead to education or experience requirements that may not be fully job related.
