Becky Lunders
Helping organizations, teams, and individuals become a better version of themselves for twenty years. Through keynote addresses, retreats, staff development days, and training, Becky models what she teaches. Her learner-centric approach allows her to deliver evidence-based content in a way that engages the audience and helps them retain what they learn. By tapping into the neuroscience behind how we learn and the psychology of creating a safe and comfortable learning environment, Becky delivers in both the virtual and in-person classroom. She delivers front-of-the-room-ready topics like Meaningful Meetings, Effective Communication, and Polished Presentations. She gets people excited about Critical Thinking, Creative Problem-Solving, and Analytical Decision-Making. Her true passion blooms when she’s working on Team Dynamics. Through consultation and facilitation, Becky works with clients to get to the root cause of the team’s issues and recommends a learning experience that gets results.
Content on how to be a better employee, supervisor, or manager is easy to find. It’s the application of those concepts and the opportunity to try them out that helps people develop into better leaders. Becky’s sessions are hands-on, energetic, and (sometimes) loud. Learners connect with each other, experiment with the techniques, and leave feeling competent while also knowing with whom they can collaborate when they get back to their desk.
Becky has trained dozens of departments on different soft skills at the federal, state, county, and city level. She’s facilitated globally on military bases, and domestically for some of the nation’s largest nonprofits.
Becky has facilitated leadership meetings to gain consensus and foster collaboration between decision makers. And she’s gained a reputation that training can be fun, engaging, and valuable as a skill development tool, a leadership development showcase, and a workplace culture incubator.
Because Becky is an instructional designer, she researches her own content, creates an interactive workbook, and ties it all together with hands-on training techniques that get the learner talking, writing, and experimenting with the learning objectives. Polls, games, group discussions, and videos are also woven into the experience. An untapped skill is her ability to take boring compliance training or general content and break it down into bite-sized pieces, making it easier to digest, and more likely to be retained.
