Mr. Glockner Ghas spent most of his career in public service. He was a member of Chicago’s United States Attorney’s Office for more than 24 years, including 11 years as chief of its criminal division. He will begin in his role on immediately.
Executive Director
Central Coast Water Authority
Peter Thompson
Central Coast Water Authority has selected Peter Thompson to assume the role of Executive Director. Mr. Thompson brings 25 years of leadership experience in California’s water sector, with a proven track record in advancing regional and state-level water initiatives. Previously serving as the assistant general manager of the Antelope Valley–East Kern Water Agency (AVEK). He has extensive expertise in State Water Project governance, interagency collaboration and complex water resource strategy and has worked closely with California Department of Water Resources leadership, legislators, boards and regulatory agencies to ensure reliable water supplies for communities. Dedicated to finding common ground at the intersection of water supply operations, multiagency governance and state-level policy, Thompson champions cooperative solutions for California’s water future. He will begin serving as associate director from Feb. 9, 2026, to May 14, 2026, before becoming the Executive Director on May 15, 2026.
